Blackhawk Law Group, LLC is a general practice law firm; however, the majority of our attorneys have experience in specialized areas of the law.
Launched in November 2012, Blackhawk Law Group, LLC was formed with a simple vision, which most companies have, but very few carry out. We wanted to be everything that the large firms are not, while being able to provide the quality of service and experience that the large firms and specialized attorneys do not provide to their clients. The primary goal of Blackhawk Law Group, LLC, other than to help our clients, is to listen to our clients and understand their needs. We are not competitors to the large firms or the specialized attorneys that handle individual areas of the law. We are an alternative to them. We work with other firms and attorneys and will assist you in finding your way through the maze of law firms and their various areas of practice.
When you call a law firm, they usually do not have a person who answers the phone, at least not a licensed attorney. When a call is answered by one of our support staff, they answer all the calls with a "Lawyer Available" message and will have an attorney contact you within 24 hours. This initial response time is much better than the typical law firm to firm. Once clients hire Blackhawk Law Group, LLC , they will be able to contact a licensed attorney 7 days a week for emergency issues. This 24/7 availability is not available to the clients of the larger firms that have many different locations and many different attorneys. They may be better set up to handle large cases and bigger issues, but most of the larger firms are not easily reached if you have a problem on the weekend or after hours during the week.
The same goes for specialized attorneys. When you find a family law specialist, a criminal defense specialist, or a personal injury specialist, you are usually getting an attorney who only handles one issue of the law. Sometimes people will need to hire several different attorneys and pay separate retainer fees to get one certified specialist. Also, a person may have a family member, a friend, or even an enemy that has been sued or who needs to sue another person for a different reason. They would have to hire two different attorneys to handle two different cases and would have to pay two separate retainers.

Paul (PJ) Rudman
PJ Rudman, Trial Attorney, joined Blackhawk Law Group as an attorney in September 2016. PJ moved to the Bay Area when he was a child and has lived in Contra Costa County for over 35 years. PJ has deep roots in Antioch, where three generations of his family have lived for over 100 years.
